On Monday the 5th, My friend Julie and I drove north into the next valley to have lunch with a friend of ours who is visiting from Arizona. We had a very nice visit and a very nice lunch at Zupas in Draper. I highly recommend the Thai Lobster Curry if you get the chance. They allow you sample any soup you want to before you buy, which is a real bonus. Not in a Sam's-Club-on-a-Saturday-in-place-of-lunch kind of way, but I am glad that they do that. I have several observations about the trip:
I don't see Julie nearly enough.
It was lovely to visit with Lisa
I work at a place that makes it somewhat difficult to take long lunches on a whim
Food is often more expensive than is comfortable to my budget
I don't get out with friends nearly often enough
I'm glad that my home and my work are about a mile apart; I couldn't commute a long way to work.
